PASS IT ON PROGRAM
Using unused class fees to open doors for others
-
Pass It On is a community fund that redistributes unused class fees (from late cancellations) to help people who MAY or MAY NOT need financial support attend Garden City Arts classes.
-
When a participant cancels within 72 hours of a class, their fee is automatically directed to the Pass It On fund.
When a participant cancels with 72+ hours’ notice, they may choose class credit or to Pass It On to the fund.
Community members and partners can also donate directly to grow the fund.
GCA staff match available funds to recipients based on need and class availability (including waitlists).
-
Full or partial class fees (materials included when bundled in the fee).
Redemption is subject to available funds and open seats.
-
Anyone with a financial need for any GCA class.
No proof documents required; brief self-report is sufficient.
-
Requests are reviewed on a rolling basis.
Priority may be given to first-time applicants, youth/families, and those on class waitlists when funds open a seat.
Awards depend on available funds; partial awards may be offered.
